The Founder
I am Deodge Hill, the founder of PH1LL Incorporated also known as The PH1LL Foundation. The PH1LL Foundation is a nonprofit organization (501c3 tax exempt) founded in 2015 with a mission to provide programs, resources, and scholarship opportunities to single mothers seeking to pursue a college education.The purpose of PH1LL is to help single mothers recognize their potential to attain excellence while being faced with challenges of being a single mother.
The foundation is named after my late husband, Patrick Hill. Patrick was a Detroit Police officer who passed in the line of duty in October 2013. PH1LL was started in his honor to continue his legacy and provide resources to give back to the community that raised him, he lived for, and he ultimately gave his life for.
When I met Patrick during my undergraduate studies I was a single mother. Through great services and organizations providing resources to me, I was able to obtain my bachelor degree in 4 years. I would like to provide motivation and encouragement to any young lady that is faced with the challenge of raising a child alone and still figuring out how to obtain a college degree.
